At the heart of my work is a simple belief: that each person carries within them the capacity to grow and to heal. At times, we may feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. In those moments, I see therapy as a space where we can slow down, make sense of our experiences, and reconnect with what is resourceful and life-giving within us.

I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience, working with people from all walks of life who are facing emotional difficulties and life challenges. I have worked extensively in a government setting and now offer therapy in private practice.

Over the years, I have come to deeply appreciate the resilience of the human spirit, even in the midst of pain and adversity. It continues to be a privilege for me to walk alongside people in some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives.

I have a particular interest in working with complex trauma, dissociation, and the impact of difficult or overwhelming life experiences. In my work, I draw on a range of approaches, including narrative therapy, parts work, Bodynamic Somatic Developmental Psychology, and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). I aim to support clients not only in reducing distress, but also in gently reconnecting with themselves, restoring inner safety and wholeness, making meaning of their experiences, and finding new possibilities for growth and healing at a pace that feels safe.

Alongside my clinical work, I also teach and provide supervision to social workers and clinical psychology trainees. I value these roles deeply, as they allow me to continue learning while supporting others in their professional and personal development.

Over the years, what has stayed with me most is how people, even in great pain, continue to reach for connection, meaning, and a way forward. This continues to humble me and deepen my respect for each person’s journey.

Belief

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: that each person carries within them the capacity to grow and to heal. At times, we may feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. In those moments, I see therapy as a space where we can slow down, make sense of our experiences, and reconnect with what is resourceful and life-giving within us.

In my work and in my life, I value presence, gentleness, and authenticity in human connection. I believe that healing often begins when we feel safely received, just as we are.

My own faith is an important source of strength and guidance in my life, and it shapes how I understand hope, healing, and the dignity of each person. If spirituality is an important part of your life, it is very welcome in our work together. I see healing as involving the body, mind, and spirit, while always respecting your own pace and what feels meaningful to you.

As the poet Rumi writes, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” This speaks to my experience that even in pain, there can be openings for growth and transformation. What helps to ground me, both personally and in my work, is my faith and the belief that life evolves and that we are part of something bigger.

In therapy, patience, listening, respect, and collaboration guide me in creating a safe and supportive space
